Hold your breath and say a little prayer...

Eli got a motorcycle this weekend. I am still mostly in shock that I actually agreed to this crazy idea, but seeing him smile so big and be so excited makes it all [for now] worthwhile. The idea is for him to use it only around Provo for the summer... I guess we'll see how it all goes. I already hit him with a whole list of rules for his dangerous new toy, but any others that you feel like you would like to add are welcome!

Season End

We had our end of the year banquet this past Tuesday. It was bittersweet, as it was my last opportunity to be there among the squad as a coach. We had a great time, enjoying a yummy southwestern dinner and presenting a lot of awards to very deserving team members. It was sad for me to give my "resignation speech," but it also helped me realize how excited I am for what the future holds.

Sweet Southern Comfort...

While I was with the squad in Daytona Beach, I was lucky enough to see my family!! My mom came down to visit me at the Atlanta Airport during my three hour lay over. We had a great time eating lunch together and catching up. Dad and Lexi drove down to the beach for Friday and Saturday. We went and walked around the Daytona National Speedway (Nascar fans anyone??), then drove to the tallest lighthouse in Florida. We ended our Saturday afternoon eating some fried gator at a local restaurant. The weather was freeeeezzzzingg... so the beach was not an option. We had a great time all the same.

NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL!

I went this past weekend with the BYU Cheer Squad as they competed in the NCA Collegiate National Competition in Daytona Beach, FL. They placed tenth overall (reaching our goal of making it into the top ten!) and won first place in the 2007 Challenge Cup. We all had a great time and spent our last night having a powerful testimony meeting on the beach. It was wonderful!

Fishin or Women??

Friday (March 30th) rolled around this week and Eli and his buddy Joe Saumweber decided they were about done with the stress of the week and needed to get away. So, they took off with their fishin' poles and headed out to Utah Lake. They left their pregnant wives at home to get the barbeque ready with the promise that we'd all be eating fresh fish for dinner. After hours on the lake, they didn't catch much other than a picture of a herd of sheep! They decided to relocate to the Provo River. Finally, after a long day of fishin, peanut butter sandwiches, and some "bachelor" time, the boys returned home with some frozen chicken to throw on the barbie. We had a great time by the barbeque, eating chicken, baked potatoes, and some vegetable kabobs. Later on we roasted marshmallows in Joe and Mary's backyard firepit. It was such a great time! Mary is due with a little boy one month before me, but looking at the bellies I would say I'm catching up quickly!
