Today I found my first Balloon...
...And it was awesome. My mom let me play with it for a while! She tied it around my wrist so that the harder I flapped my arms the more fun it would be! I played with it for a really long time, but then I decided that dad's XBox 360 would be more fun, so I scooted over there. My fun didn't last very long, though... My Mom's pretty quick now-days.
Oh the places you'll go!
Now that Jax is mobile he's having a great time getting around, and we constantly find him under tables. Kitchen table or coffee table... it does not matter. Today he had fun playing under his high chair. If you look closely in the second picture you can see his back arched up as much as possible... he was trying to pull himself up with all his might!
Happy 76th Birthday Grandma Newton!
We had a wonderful time celebrating with Grandma yesterday for her 76th birthday party. I planned a little surprise party and several of the cousins who were in the neighborhood came over to join us in on the celebration. We had a great time with Kjarsta, Robert, Amber, and Spencer Salmon, Brad & Erica, McKay, Eli and Jax. Michael Stanley also stopped by for a minute or two. It was really special and we all had a great time.

Our latest trick....
I put Jax in his crib to play for a minute while I restocked his diapers in the diaper hanger. I then took a minute to reorganize some things in our drawers... LITERALLY one minute... and here is what I saw:

Ggi Comes to Town!
Jax's Great Grandma Newton (Ggi) came into town to help me out while I was on bedrest from surgery. This was her first time meeting Jax, and they have really hit it off. She has been a real lifesaver, doing laundry, cooking every single meal (!!!!!), taking care of me, Jax and Eli, walking Cosmo, cleaning the house... need I go on?? Here is a photo of her giving Jax a bath. They had a great time!

Who Needs a Gall Bladder Anyway?
Just thought I would take a minute to update the blog and let everyone know that I had my gall bladder successfully removed on Friday. I'm still really sore, but hopefully this will keep me out of the ER since I've been in there 3 times in the last 4 weeks. They were able to remove it laproscopically, so I only have four 1" incisions on my belly. Hopefully they won't really scar very badly.
I'm looking at a 5-7 day recovery before I jump back into school. My Grandma Newton drove down to take care of us, bless her heart, and we have kept her busy while she does laundry, cooks meals, takes care of Jax, and caters to my every whim. What a champion!

Babies!
Mary and David Saumweber came over to keep us company today... just a couple of babes hanging out! we had a great times as the babies showed off their latest tricks. Little David is crawling all over the floor and pulling himself up on furniture... he's 3 weeks older than Jax. Jax tried to keep up...... he'll keep working on it! He did, however, stand up by himself with no help in sight for 5 whole seconds!! Is this a preview for the upcoming month??
Time with Family
Here are some more pictures from when Nathanael and Alyssa! We took Eli's brother Nate and his girlfriend to the Mayan Restaurant. It is a really cool place! The food is decent, but the atmosphere and show of live divers and fire dancers is what makes it quite an attraction! We had a great time, and Jax got his first taste of Pina Colada! (virgin of course). He was suprised by how cold it was, but he ended up really liking it!
