Good news! I finally have pics from our trip to the Grand Canyon! I'll be posting more pictures from the past few months over the next few days too, since our camera hook-ups are finally working!

PS... as with the other posts I've made lately, just wanted to remind you that our blog will be going "private" again soon! That means if you want to keep up with the Stephens Family Stories, leave a comment (there is a link at the bottom of this post that says "comments"!) with your name and email address so that I can add you to our "private invite list!"

A painted mural on the ceiling of a smoker's lounge...
The outside of a bathroom in the middle of a bustling city...
The inside of that bustling city bathroom! (One-way mirrors... could you do it!? I certainly couldn't!)

A mural painted on the bathroom in a high rise building... several stories up! Yikes!

I fell in love with Arizona

We got in to Provo around 3am on Wednesday morning. As we were driving back from Phoenix, I just watched the temperature gauge in the car drop steadily from 80 to 62 to 59... all the way down to 24. It was a sad moment for me as we pulled into the cold, icy driveway.

WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER IN ARIZONA! We loved spending time in the pool and driving all around to check out the scenery. We cruised aroudn with the windows down and the radio up, stopping by the side of the road to pick lemons and oranges off of the trees that line the highways. They were sooo juicy!

We drove up Friday night to sleep at the Grand Canyon. It is always beautiful in pictures, but if you haven't seen the Grand Canyon in person you are really missing out! Standing on the edge and looking down I felt dizzy, not only because of the height and massive drop-offs, but because of the overwhelming inability to grasp all of the colors, levels, elevations, peaks, valleys, and so on. It is absolutely breath taking!

The areas around Midwestern University are so beautiful, and the phenomenal weather made it really hard for me to come home. We feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to interview at several schools, and anxiously await a response from Midwestern!

Moral of the story? We have no idea where we will be in three months, or where we will spend the next four years of our lives. But we are anxious, excited, and happy to have options!
